I'm about to close a business account here that currently has 10,000 times the amount in it as the fee I'm disputing. My partner hates this branch and refuses to go in it. After a few cashiers checks I'd purchased at another branch went unused (alternate pay arrangements made) I returned them to this branch. The teller didn't want to refund the check fees. After a bit of back and forth I realized the argument I was having was with a person with zero business acumen. When I asked about just closing the account because I refuse to let a bank of all places, steal from me, she said, quote "Would you like to do that now?" All I could think is that this person worked for me she'd likely be forcing me to hemorrhage money. NO attempt to save the account...for less than $50! She seemed to dog in and take pride in winning... I explained I wasn't paying that much for printed paper that never even required processing. The manager was brought in & offered to reverse some wire fees to make up the difference. The amounts exceeded what I was asking for and declined. I'll pay for services used. She insisted and then asked what I would've done had she not made the arrangement. I was clear. I'd close the account and move to my other bank. 5 days later and no reversal. I'm out of the country now, but when I return on Wednesday in two days I'm closing it. HOW does corporate allow such snarky incompetence?
