I saw Doctor Fatkin to treat an infection on the toe on my right foot, and a small keratosis on my left foot. Doctor Fatkin gives excellent patient hands on care. The reason that I'm giving him a low one star review was because---I don't feel that my left foot needed to be x-rayed to solve the small keratosis problem that I was having. I'll explain. After I completed my initial paperwork, Dr. Fatkin's Assistant met me in the waiting area and told me to follow her. I thought that she was taking me to see Dr. Fatkin, but she took me to the x-ray room. She said that Dr. Fatkin wanted to get x-ray's of both of my feet. I was quite surprised; and I said to myself that I haven't even seen Dr. Fatkin yet and he wants my feet x-rayed. I thought about cancelling my appointment and leaving right then. But I didn't leave; and Dr. Fatkin's assistant took 9 x-rays of my feet. She took 4 x-rays of one foot, and 5 x-rays of my other foot. She had to take one x-ray over again because it didn't cover the area it was suppose to cover. After the x-rays I met with Dr. Fatkin. Granted, my right foot that has the infected toe probably needed x-rays taken. But, my left foot in which Dr. Fatkin cut off a painful small keratosis did not need to be x-rayed. If I would have met with Dr. Fatkin before that foot was x-rayed; Dr. Fatkin could have cut off the small keratosis and problem solved. No x-rays would have been needed. As I already mentioned; I think Dr. Fatkin gives excellent hands on care. But, because of the x-ray situation of my left foot, I didn't want to have Dr. Fatkin as my Podiatrist any longer. So, I cancelled my next session. I did not explain to Dr. Fatkin about my dissatisfaction that he x-rayed my left foot because I'm uncomfortable telling any Physician, including Dr. Fatkin, how they should carry out their medical procedures; especially after he already x-rayed my left foot. By then it was after the fact and the x-rays of my left foot had already been taken. I have no Medical credentials; and I didn't feel that I needed to debate with him about the reasons that he x-rayed my left foot. I'm sure that he would have some justification for why he x-rayed my left foot the way he did. But, I just don't think my left foot needed to be x-rayed to solve the keratosis problem that I was having.
