I had an hour to waste before my seven o'clock plans commenced, so therefore I decided to check out St. James Corner Restaurant & Irish Pub since I was in the area. I walked in and was greeted by the hostess; I barely had time to let my eyes adjust to the darker lit venue before she asks me if I was meeting some friends. I tell her no and that it's just me tonight. What I found weird was - after I tell her this, she says to follow her and we head upstairs. She then sits me at a large booth made for 6 people in the back corner when there was a couple small tables/bar stools available downstairs! This just made me feel kind of isolated and out of place. I started to look at the menu and I have to say everything sounded delicious and just reading what they had available made me want to go back and try the food. I ended up just ordering a bottled beer and sipping... at my table for six in the corner.....thinking "no one puts baby in the corner" (kidding, but not really)
