We bought a new car in CA then moved out to AZ a year later. The car was still under warranty which included free oil changes. I called and made an at to have the oil changed. When I showed up they tried to tell me that I wasn't suppose to get free oil changes but they would 'go ahead and do it this one time'. The service guy who checked me it said that I was past due on several maintenance items and therefore my warranty was voided. But he said if I let them take care of it all that day he would give me the warranty back. It was well over $3k worth of maintenance items. I told him no, I just wanted the oil changed. He restated that warranty was voided. I called the dealership in CA where I bought the car and they said that wasn't true at all. All of the items he mentioned were just suggested and that not doing them would not void my warranty. He said that I should find another place for future oil changes and maintenance and to never go back to Sands Chevrolet.
