What a joke! So we lost our key for our Volvo. Had to get it towed to the Volvo dealership. Had a key made for $358 dollars. They or we called to see when it would be ready. They said its ready now, but it won't start. Our service rep Jarret Wallace said, we put it on a jumper box on it and a little gas to see if that would work. He advises me nope it won't start. Ok, what's funny, is that it started with no problems, right before we lost the key. Plus, the car has a new battery. So what could be the problem I ask. Mr. Jarret Wallace he says he can do a diagnostic chk for $160 dollars? I was like, we are not going to pay that. So I had the car towed again back to my house. So, I asked the tow truck driver what had happened, he said did you see them put the jumper box on the car? I said no, he said let's jump it and see. He advised me that the more money they can get from you is more money for there commissions. So we jump it, Sure enough it starts right up. I called the Volvo dealership, speak to the service manager and he says, " I don't know why it would start for you, and not us? Yeah, maybe you wanted us to pay more money since they work on commission. Please, beware of this dealership. Also, I haven't had time to get tell you when I got home to see if everything worked. Well, it doesn't. The key doesn't open the trunk. So after spending 358 dollars and getting my car towed home, because they said it wouldn't start. So 2 things were wrong, the car did start up with a jump and the the key doesn't work. Thanks Volvo, no wonder people don't trust mechanics or the service departments
