Tough review for me to write because Cosimo is a good guy. However we did granite countertops with him and the job was average to below average. I've waited weeks to review in order to let things sink in and just not real happy. Granite measured incorrectly and under mount sink installed incorrectly. Too late to fix it as granite was already down and to tear it up would have been a nightmare. Finishing work with caulk was just amateur hour, I could have done better. Cosimo kept telling me if it were floors it would have been "his guys" but he subs out the granite work and can't control that quality. I hired him, not his sub. He did try to make it right, he does care, but I would not be able to use him again. From the reviews you can see he's likely great with floors, but I would not use him for countertops again.
June 2nd update- In response to Cosimo. A. You specifically told me if it were flooring then "your guys" your employees do the work and you have more control over the quality. That when its granite you sub that out. Those were your words not mine. Your fabricator has his own business and is in fact a subcontractor doing granite work for different people. He is not your employee. B. In my review I specifically said you tried to make it right. To be fair we did call Cosimo out to the house and he did come the next day. That's when he told me about "his guys" and the difference between when its flooring and countertop work. He may recall I told him "I hired you, not your fabricator". He did call the fabricator and have them come out to correct a pretty bad flaw in the granite and he did have them change the white caulking to black in certain areas. He also told the granite guy "you never use white caulk with black granite". He is correct, my wife did call with a change request. At no time was there any discussion of any charge or added expense. If this had been brought to our attention, we would have gladly been open to paying it or not making the change, depending on the expense. This was never brought up. I have uploaded pictures, not sure how to post them, of the countertop that was cut short. It was almost 1/2 inch, not 1/8th as Cosimo says. The area for the undermount sink needed new wood underlay as the old sink hole was much larger than the new sink. None of the sink mounting hardware was used because they did not cut a new underlayment. So they rigged it with plywood. Again I uploaded pics taken from under the sink. I also uploaded pics of the caulking work. If I am able to figure out how to get the pics in this post, you can decide for yourselves if its professional work. I did stop by Cosimo's office to pay him but I was not happy and contrary to his response he knew this. He offered to take a couple of hundred off the invoice which I turned down. He knew I was not satisfied, or why would he make this offer? This is not personal. As I said in my original post he is a good guy and I wanted to wait to write my review. I've provided the pics so others can at least judge my review for themselves, as opposed to the "he said, she said" his response has turned this into. We love the countertops, but the related finishing work was not up to any professional standard. We have converted to granite countertops in other homes with a much different result in terms of the finishing work. Again, Cosimo was on time, responsive, pleasant and never pushy. He wanted to make it right. But at the end of the day you just want bad workers (not Cosimo, the subs) out of your house. I can't be any more fair than this.
June 2nd Correction. I misread Cosimo's response. The sink was only an 1/8 inch off and he did correct this for me. It was the countertop that was cut a bit short. My wife has corrected me in that there was confusion on the countertop edges being "bull nose" vs "waterfall". The call she made was to make sure it was not bull nose but rather waterfall because we chose waterfall but bullnose was on the paperwork. He did in fact have this changed with his fabricator and he did in fact incur expense to make this right. Again, I just want to be very fair and correct anything I may have said above that wasn't accurate.
