I am completely disappointed in dish by the way they treat their valued customers, who have been with them for ages. I called to see about upgrading to the hopper 3. They told me that I was eligible; however, I would have to pay a time charge of 150$. I went to their site where they stated that they are now listening to the customer. I wrote my opinion, and received some passive email thanking me for my loyal patronage. They stated that it was the top of home DVR systems, and that they would give me a charge of 75$ instead. The thing that irritates me is that all new customers get the hopper 3 without having to pay anything out of pocket yet they charge existing customers that outlandish fee. The thing is that I spoke with customer service. Even if I paid that much out of pocket I would have to return it if I chose to cancel service. I am going elsewhere when my contract is up.
