My boyfriend, his 2 friends & I went there March 25, 2017... We purchased 2 bottles of (overpriced, cheap) champagne so we could be VIP in a booth by the dance floor. The girl that was to be taking care of us was only seen 3x from 10pm - 2am. Had she actually been attentive & trying to make money I would have purchased an extra bottle. However, she was never around, so I never got the chance to purchased one. Good thing I'm a Marine & have worked concert security, because apparently I worked at Diesel on Saturday. I had to tell at least 4 different girls who thought they should just come up & sit down in our "VIP" area. My boyfriend asked to speak to a manager. He was a joke. He told him he couldn't comp us a bottle of champagne for all the issues we had because "only the girls could hold bottles" - yet he's a "MANAGER". He said he's get us "next weekend", however, I'm not a Pitt student. I don't and can't go to the Southside every weekend. This was date night which only happens once a month if we're lucky. The "manager" told us to tell security when people sat down in our area, yet we could NEVER find them. We saw them 2x. Once after speaking with the manager & then when they came into the VIP area & put up a rope between our party & the one next to us - instead of at the side by the dance floor where random girls kept coming in .. You know because THAT doesn't make sense... The DJ was also rude. If he wasn't taking requests he should have simply said so.
