What a fun place. Great, dive of a place that is a perfect taste of Charlotte. Went there with my kids and everyone really had a good time. The key to enjoying to Penguin is to have right expectations.
Fact: It will be full, and you will have to wait.
Fact: The food is good, but greasy and just flat out terrible for you. If you're in the mood for something healthy, definitely go elsewhere.
Fact: It's way small (including the parking lot), and the tables turn fairly quickly. Don't expect a two hour meal here.
In summary, don't eat here often. I'm not sure the health care system can take the extra burden. But also, don't miss it.
