This is worst customer service experience I have ever had. I purchased a stackable dryer on Monday, Oct. 9. They told me I had to purchase an installation package although I already had my own parts. Installation was included. The salesman continue to push a warranty package which I said I didn't want. He also chose to share that he was living at the poverty level and got commission on sales.
The dryer arrived on Wednesday but the delivery men said they could not install because it didn't have the parts for a stackable dryer (I had been VERY clear that is what I needed.)
Had to go back to store because no one could help me on the phone. Got them to order the missing parts. Took over 45 mins because the salesman (a different one) didn't know how to work the register.
When the delivery men arrived on Friday, they said the new installation parts were the wrong ones. (I had even provided photos and the model number of my washer.) Nevertheless, they persisted and installed the dryer. Mission accomplished....I thought.
The first time I used the dryer, I found that it had been installed incorrectly and it vented steam into my laundry room, and I mean LOTS of water. It dripped from the ceiling and walls and warped my door. The washer wasn't in use at the time so it was definitely the dryer.
I immediately called the store and asked for the manager. I was told that he was "in the restroom" but would call me back. That was 4:30 p.m. When I called back at 7:30 p.m. I was told by a different person that the manager was never in that day but she would help me. She assured me that he would be in the next day and she would leave a big note on his desk to call me right away.
He didn't call. On Saturday I went in and managed to find him. He said he wasn't even scheduled to be in that day so I had been incorrectly informed twice. He made a call to reschedule the installation. While he was on hold, he took another call (a complaint) and said over his shoulder to me that someone would be out on Monday. No apology. No explanation. I had wanted to speak to him further to let him know about the communications problems in his store. I had planned to be nice. I think any good manager should want to know about any problems in their organization so they could address them.
I waited but finally gave up in frustration as he continued to talk and ignore me. I hope he reads these reviews since it seems to be the only way I can voice my concerns. If not him, perhaps someone else in the organization can address these problems. I really would like our local businesses to succeed.
