Bargain shoppers paradise!
The Block Northway is a 350,000 square foot redevelopment of the former Northway Mall that is slowly becoming a discount fashion wonderland. ALDI, America's Best, Marshalls, Ulta Beauty, PetSmart and Nordstrom Rack and are now open.
The Container Store is opening October 8. 2016. Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH is scheduled to open its second Pittsburgh location on October 13, 2016. DSW opens October 20, 2016 and J Crew Mercantile opens November 22, 2016. I am crossing my fingers that Pittsburgh will get a Neiman Marcus Last Call as there is not a Neiman Marcus currently in the area.
A CycleBar indoor cycling center will be built near ALDI's. Other shops and restaurants are on the way as well including a Piada Italian Street Food and a Jason's Deli. This will be a great addition to the nearby shopping and dining options at McCandless Crossings.
This is an exciting time as the local economy is very strong and many retailers and restaurants without a presence in the Pittsburgh region are anxious to open here.
