If I could give this place zero rating I'd do it and here it's why:
My roomates and I toured the complex and were told new projects were comming for the next move-in day. remodeled club house, gym, study rooms, etc. I basically chose the complex because of their amenities and hearing that they were going to get them remodeled, I made my decision over other apartement complexes in the area.
I specifically asked the leasing agent when they were going to have everything ready since I had similar issues the very same year with my apartment at the time (gateway at tempe) and they assured it would be before move-in day.
Move-in day came and nothing was near completion, you could rarely see construction workers in the area for months which was concerning.
I went to the leasing office and they said it would take about a month but as months passed my frustation just crossed limits.
I went to the office and asked questions on how to move out since they did not delivered the expectations as per leasing agreement/contract. The leasing agent had to call the leasing manager who assured it was specified in the agreement that the complex would not be responsible for not being able to offer their amenities and i thought that was unlawful and deceiving. I read the agreement before that visit and knew he was lying in my face. the manager spent almost 20 minutes reviewing the agreement with me present and couldn't find such statement either. I was told the site manager would email me with more information but I was never contacted by anyone after that.
I came to realize that suing would take way more money than just paying move out fees so I've been stuck in this place until my lease is up in July.
In November the complex issued and announcement that the club house would finally open but in order to attend the "grand" opening event i'd have to rvsp for a tour and vip entrance...i'd just think that paying full rent for 4 months would give me the right to attend but whatever, the marketing manager must have graduated from trump university.
As of right now the "club house" is only open during office hours. As someone that works office hours as well, I cannot enjoy of the amenities that I have been paying every month and the reason I moved here in the first place. A week before this grand opening I was told the club house will be 24/7 as advertised once the key fob system was installed next week. It is a month already and no communication on the matter yet.
To top it off, I thought I was at least going to be able to enjoy the winter break, but they decided to make another remodelation in the pool area because they are "getting ready for the summer" and now I just pay an insane amount of money for what I am getting, a complete ripoff.
I am not renewing for obvious reasons so I will not be able to enjoy this mentioned remodelations.
Besides the club house incident, which has been the topic among every resident i've talk to, there are also other issues I feel anyone trying to move in should know:
1)wifi is the worst thing I have experienced. It shuts down periodically. It actually went off twice while writing this review today. I complained before and was told i'd have to call the company and log when those issues happen so they can take note that there are issues. If you are a student, do not take an exam home, it sounds crazy, but better safe than sorry.
2) cellphone connectivity is an issue and i never thought this could be a problem with verizon. I once was having a phone interview and walking from the kitchen to my room the call got disconected. I was lucky the recruiter called back and had to take the call in the patio.
3) the jaccuzi has been broken since move in and seems that it never gets cleaned.
4) the halls are the most disgusting thing i've seen in an apartment complex and for the money residents pay, I think it should at least get cleaned once a year. you can smell urine in different parts of the complex and there are stains everywhere. If you tour the complex make sure you go to another floor as they might be cleaning the areas where future residents usually pass through.
Make yourself a favor an lease somewhere else.
