We tried this place after purchasing a Groupon for $49 per kid which included a thorough assessment and two additional one hour sessions. My kids had a great time and they really enjoyed working with Rachel who is the director there. I give Rachel four stars for her calm demeanor, quick communications and work ethic. After the first session, I asked for the pricing and it is absolutely outrageous. They have three, 6 and 12 month plans. The three month plan starts at $325 per month. They take $25 off for the second child. For this price point, I would rather hire a private in home tutor and still save money. A private tutor would be one on one versus Mathnasium which operates at a 1 to 4 ratio. Additionally, there is never a three month period where our family is not traveling for at least one week so this makes their per session rate even more expensive. Their argument is that it makes sense for kids that would go every week but unfortunately, my kids are also engaged in other activities which do allow them to go every day of the week. I asked them for an a la carte pricing and that is even more outrageous at 10 sessions for $450 - again for group tutoring. I think if you are able to commit to taking your kid to Mathnasium every day of the week, this place might make sense but otherwise if you are not able to go 5 days a week, the pricing is not competitive at all.
