I have studied with Michele for 12 years, and continue to thoroughly enjoy and benefit from her teaching. I am an independent artist who understands what she is teaching to simply be truthful acting. I am constantly inspired by the other actors, and by the artistic depth of the teachers at LS&CO. They have taught me to think independently and how to tell truthful stories to the best of my ability.
She is a tough acting teacher who pushes students harder than most. It's unfortunate to see that some students who are no longer studying have taken the time to demonize her, but none of those negative comments are at all in line with my experience.
Many people who study at the studio are working actors, and I have personally seen some average actors turn into great ones, and careers grow exponentially through her mentorship and that of the other teachers at the studio.
I don't want to undermine the experience of anyone else who has left a review here, because I don't think it's helpful to slander the work and opinions of others. As actors, we all enjoy different techniques and styles of work. Michele and the other teachers at LS&CO are transparent. I suggest auditing and making your own decision. I've always had fun and have certainly become a better actor and more confident overall artist because of LS&CO. :-)
