I have been going here for about 2 years and have been mostly satisfied. Recently, I've noticed that the wait times are way off - the last two times I've had to wait 30-45 minutes past my appointment time to get started. On top of that, I've experienced a very wide variety of quality in the actual process. Sometimes I get a beautiful, long lasting manicure / pedicure, and sometimes its sub par. I've also received minor injuries several times - from over removal of calluses, over clipping cuticles, etc.
The manicurist has also advised me to tip them in cash, which feels rude to me. I do this anyway, but a direct request for a tip and instructions on how to do it is not appropriate.
I want to like this place but it feels like it is going downhill.
Hoh did an amazing job on a recent manicure and was very friendly, polite, etc.
