Wish I could give no stars. Arriving first thing in the morning, the waiting room was full, no seat available. Yet only one person doing blood draws. Three people were at the check in counter, 2 of which do blood draws, yet the entire time I was there, which was hours, they were just bs-ing. The people at the desk were very rude and condescending to just about everyone. I also heard them making fun of people who were in the waiting room. Now to my biggest issue. I am a type 1 diabetic and had to do fasting blood work. Type 1 diabetics are a very small percentage of the diabetic population and even smaller percentage of the general population. I recently moved from out of state and when type 1s had to do fasting labs, they were taken as soon as possible because of how dangerous and life threatening it is if blood sugar goes too low. When I arrived, I advised the people at the desk that I was a type 1 diabetic, fasting and my blood sugar was almost dangerously low and I needed to get it done so I could take some glucose pills. I was told I would have to wait over an hour. I explained there was a very real possibility of losing consciousness or seizing if I had to wait over an hour. I was then told I was not welcome there. Shocked I said what. Was told if I couldn't control my blood sugar I needed to leave. I needed to get the labs done and could not come back for weeks. I asked for a supervisor and was told they don't have one. I ended up having a 90 minute wait. The entire time only one girl, perla, was doing blood draws. The other 2 that do blood draws as well, were chatting at the check in desk the entire time. So many things that occurred there were unprofessional. I do intend to follow up and report all that occurred.
