Not the typical sugar shack experience in the sense that it doesn't radiate the 'cabane' like feel... In fact it was pretty commercialized so if you're on the lookout for a traditional quebecer culinary experience, this may not be the best place. But I loved it: Never thought I'd be able to hop onto a rollercoaster in March!! This place isn't only a sugar shack, but it's a small attraction park that has about 30 activities and everything cost 2$ or 4$ (check their website for more detail). Anyway, the food was decent, I guess, nothing exciting except for the deep fried pancakes and sugar pie with ice cream *_* The pancake was the highlight of the day: deep fried golden brown dough that's light and crispy. Add maple syrup and it's by far the best dessert I've had in my life. Never had deep fried pancakes. Despite having a huge dining room, there was a line up shortly after the opening. Our server, Guillaume, was quick and efficient. I can see how kids will love this place. In my case, I needed a rollercoaster ride to cure my winter blues. The colder season has just been around for wayyyy too long.
