I stayed here for 3 nights, and had a very relaxing experience. Not sure why this hotel has such bad reviews. I read a few of these reviews but didn't experience these issues myself.
So my room was small, but quaint and the bed was very comfortable. Monica N reports that her room had "old, worn-out country style furniture". My room has French country furniture, and yes it was old, but it was in good condition. I must say I prefer modern decor, but this was sort of a nice change in decor for me.
Also, the linen was of good quality and nice and clean.
Also, the room was clean. I had no stains on my carpet, and the bathroom was sparkling clean.
The TV in my room was on the old side, but it worked.
I was within walking distance to several cafes and attractions, and for me parking my car was easy.
The staff were hospitable and very friendly.
This hotel was about $50 a night cheaper than others I looked at, and for saving that much money I didn't feel like I sacrificed too much on comfort.
I would stay here again. I mean, at the end of the day I had a very comfortable bed and a clean room.
