Great location and amenities, but service is sub par. Unfriendly staff from the restaurant bar, shuttle bus driver, to catering waitresses. All performed their job but seemed annoyed and unpleasant. There is definitely a morale issue at this hotel. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Pool area looked nice. Food at the restaurant was not good. We ordered a sad plate of small soggy french fries and the Mediterranean sampler appetizer. Large chunks of zucchini and squash were served cold (just shy of frozen) on top of a field salad. Flavorless. .. Hummus was ok.. Need to add more pita bread and possibly add roasted red peppers..sampler was a mess. The hotel needs to improve but since it was clean and the location was in the center of Oakland next to University of Pittsburgh, I would return..
