T his is one of my favorite little restaurants that my husband and I found while we were in Phoenix. It is such a small place that I never noticed it while driving by, but ever observant husband kept eyeing the interesting name and line that was outside of the restaurant. I loved it the minute I walked in; there are so many decorations for such a small space but all great to look at. Reminds me of my obsession with the 60s and 70s I had while in high school. I love going to little "mom and pop" shops, they remind me of back home. And I loved that this couple decided to open a place with great food with cheap prices that everyone, including families with children, could afford to go there (though, it probably wouldn't be the healthiest place to go all the time lol). The owner of the restaurant was working the first time we went in, and he was one of the nicest, most sincere people I have met. We later met his wife who is also wonderful. They would always meet us with a friendly greeting and even learned our names before we moved. It was always nice to go in and chat with them while waiting for our food about the different places we have all traveled. I only eat organic chicken, so my favorite here was the portabello burger that they piled high with onions and red peppers. Most places don't serve portabellos, so I was extremely excited. Also, I loved "homemade" fries, and I love soft fries, so these are some of my favorite. My husband prefers their hotdogs over their hamburgers, saying it was the best hotdog he has ever had in his life, and he has had some hot dogs before:P And one of the best parts is that we could both get our burger/hotdog, fries, and a drink, all for $10 or less! We couldn't believe how cheaply priced but great tasting the food was. I just wish there was one of these in each city we moved to:P
