Carolina Asthma is a great place to go for first timers like my husband and myself. We were able to get our allergy tests together, in the same room, administered by Dr. Lapuente and his staff. We decided to go together because each of us have seasonal allergies, I have skin allergies and neither had been tested before. We each got the test on the back where they do a little dab of each allergen, read the test and tell you what you reacted to. We also got the "bubble" test, which is after your back test, they take all of the ones you didn't react to and then inject them under your skin. Not very fun, but I think the nurse "Angel" did a great job with me. She was quick. After listening to us at the beginning Dr. Lapuente was able to identify my husband's allergies and recommended that I have a "T.R.U.E" patch test. I had to come back later the next week and get the patch put on my back. You have to keep it on for 2 days and come back to have it read. The patch test identified my skin allergies, and overall I had a great experience. My husband is going back in a couple of weeks to see if the inhaler he was given is working to help his allergy-induced-asthma. A great place, I enjoyed everyone who worked there.
