Well I'm not a yelper or a complainer , I'm a store Mgr for a large retailer and I deal with the type all the time, I never complain and I have dined at most all of the fine restaurants Charlotte has to offer, that said , my gf and I have had a gift card for 2 yrs to mimosa , we finally decide to use it last Friday , we go in, the place is empty . 2 other tables besides ours , over 10 min to get water , I'm good, finally get to order a beer and she a cocktail , 22 min in its on the table . We wanted to order the meat and cheese plate to start , 4/$16 so we asked what was available , she stumbles thru what she thinks they have and then asks us what she said , my gf tells her what we would like and she says " oh it's chefs choice " I'm like what ? It doesn't say that anywhere on the menu , I questioned it then said no thank you . So my gf orders the oysters 6/$15 , after a long wait they bring them out and they are gulf oysters . We tried them and they were for lack of a better word , awful, I mean there"re worth abt .10 ea on a good day . I honestly do not see how in the world they get the rating they have, fine dining ? Absolutely not! Service ? Terrible , with staff everywhere , I'm not a complainer but we both said WOW, I gave her the gift card and said to keep it , I wouldn't be back , I'm sure they have better days and better food , roll the dice , but for us, a pretentious joke, thanks for your time , we walked over to Ruth Chris and it was top notch ,
