I came here with my sister, she got a pedicure and I got a manicure. We both did Shellac, and I am writing this review 12 days later, and I have 4 nails with minor chips at the tip. I have never gotten shellac before, but was told they would last 2 weeks without chipping.
Ambiance:
It is a clean place, with fluorescent lights and yellow walls.
Staff:
The staff is friendly and can answer all your questions
Pricing:
Pricing is fair, and it is all posted on the wall except for the Shellac pricing. I prefer to see prices listed somewhere so that I know that's the price that all customers are paying. I payed $33 after tax for my manicure which included cleaning, polish, french and shellac. A normal manicure with just cleaning and polish is $15 which isn't too bad.
Overall, the pricing is decent, the location is close to where I was staying at the time that I got them done, and Monica herself is very nice. However, I am a full-time student, and I spend a lot of time at the gym - that pretty much sums up my life for now :P. My lifestyle isn't rough by any standards so I am a little disappointed that the manicure didn't stay perfect for the full two weeks. I would probably go back again and get a regular manicure from Monica's for sure!
Update: I have been back twice and I have a more favorable view of this place. The staff is very nice and know their stuff. My shellac manicures have lasted with no chipping.
