They've changed over my tires a couple of times and were super nice, so I went back for more. An oil change, told would cost $40 on the phone, became $70 for my 4 cylinder van "because it's an SUV," and because they sold me $5 of windshield washer fluid which I didn't need. Fred did not want to honour the quote over the phone or refund the windshield fluid, and I didn't feel like arguing. The receipt also charged $16 for a road test. Really? To drive it around the block? Never had that charge in 20 years of car ownership. I was told I need another $800 of work, but I got a second opinion after this sour experience. Here's what happened. Two different shops told me the tune up Cocomile said was "definitely needed" was not needed at all. Both shops said that my platinum spark plugs should last another 40K kms and without noise or engine light there is no reason for a tune up. Cocomile also missed the reason for noise in the car: brake pads. They did catch a leaking strut, confirmed by another shop, so that much was true. The rest feels shoddy and dishonest. I won't go back to Cocomile.
