I used this place to find an apartment for my 3 young daughters and I. Judy Ann was recommended to me by a friend, and she seemed very nice. However, she could only suggest one place for us and it was a run down complex in west Phoenix that was nicknamed (I found out later) New Jack City. I needed to move quickly so I reluctantly paid over $900 to Valley Kings directly. I was shown an apartment that had an obvious roach issue. I tried to be accommodating to the management by giving them over two weeks to get rid of the problem (after signing my lease). I stayed in a hotel at my expense for that time. They said the apartment was ready and I moved my dining room table in, then left for 30 min. When I returned, my table and chairs were literally covered in roaches, it was like something from a movie. Management was no help so I called Judy Ann and tried to get her to find me something livable. She basically told me that my money was non-refundable and her job was done. I couldn't move in to that apartment with my 1, 6 and 8 year olds. I called the health department and after failing an inspection, the management gave me an apartment with no roaches. However, a meth dealer lived in the apartment before me so I was constantly dealing with drug addicts at my door at all hours of the night and day and the complex was just blatantly unsafe. I couldn't get out of the lease so now I have an eviction on my credit. Calling Valley King was the worst decision I could have made. I even filed a complaint against Valley Kings with the Better Business Bureau and the manager of the 35th Ave office kept calling me trying to talk me into retracting the complaint. I refused since they refused to help me after I paid them almost $1000. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, ever.
