Hontech has lost my trust completely. The first incident was when they worked on my 2000 Toyota Corolla to replace some front end struts. When I got the car back it was making a grinding noise when braking, so I took it back. It turns out they had given the car to another shop to work on and never checked the work that was done. The struts were so loose the front end almost came apart, and driving it was dangerous. Hontech had it fixed after I brought it back.
The second incident occurred with my Honda CRV. Hontech told me I needed new brake pads. When I took it to another shop I was told the pads were fine for at least another year. When I confronted Hontech about the faulty diagnosis the manager blamed it on a technician who she said was working with his friend in the shop to perform unnecessary repairs.
The third and final incident occurred with an oil change. Hontech did the previous oil change and I changed the oil after 5000 miles. Hontech had claimed that they changed the oil filter, but the Honda dealer who did the oil change told me the filter was old and dirty and it had not been changed for at least 10,000 miles. Hontech told me that they changed the filter.
I do not trust what they tell me and I do not trust them to do a good job.
