I have to say this is a handy location of the LCBO for me.
Right on the way home.
Pretty good location -- decent size Vintages section too.
However, not to thrilled about the packing.
The fellow who cashed me out packed the bottles in tight -- and some upside down (I get that the bottles were a bit awkward shape). but when I got home, he had jammed one in with such force, it had leaked right through the still intact foil cover into the bottom of the box.
Being that a lot of companies are now using those synthetic corks, I guess it must not be as tight as a traditional cork. I will be opening that bottle tonight, and if it is not good, I will be taking it back... but cautionary tale -- watch out for this.
..and folks at the LCBO -- think carefully before you jam those wine bottiles in upside down!
