This is a new one for me. I had to find a place the week before CES and couldn't find a place to stay for one of the nights. Groupon had a deal going at this hotel and I figured it was worth staying at for one night to save me an extra $400.... Ehh... not sure if it was though.
THE ROOMS - 1 Star
Yikes, the entire place smells like cigarettes. Even the non-smoking floors. I almost threw up when I got to the floor of my room. Bed was so gross I debated sleeping up right in the chair.
The room also seemed dirty. Alright, not seemed, the room WAS dirty. Gross.
THE SERVICE - 5 Stars
Ok, so this is the reason the place gets 5 stars. The young gentleman the checked me in and the young lady that checked me out were both two of the most hospital people I have ever met. Especially considering what a dump the hotel is (I kind of feel bad saying that, but its true). Overtime I came in and out of the hotel I was greeted with a very friendly hello and my name (my name is NOT easy to remember). Its sometimes the little things that can go really far.
If you are really strapped for cash and need a place to stay and this is the cheapest, then I suppose its worth it. Otherwise, I would keep searching. Just my two cents. I will not be staying there again.
OH -- BIG UPSIDE IS THEY HAVE FREE WIFI AND IT WORKS REALLY WELL.
