It is a shame when an entire company gets a poor mark due to one graceless and impolite representative. We are a military family and are being relocated to California from AZ- just after our very own hero has come back after 18 mo in the Middle East. While the movers seemed friendly and sensitive to the conditions of our move, we receive a vague and very rude voicemail from Mary at the "Office". She said she needed to discuss the "unsafe moving conditions due to your filthy, filthy house". The word "Filth" indicates disease, dirt, and stink. Our house can in no way be described as "filthy". No food (new or old) was strewn about, no sticky or germ-infested surfaces, and no gross odors. Our home is, however, in the process of being moved out from, so yes, there was clutter. We have things in opened boxes and stuff wrapped in newspaper.
Our jaws dropped when we replayed that message and were in utter disbelief that someone could be so thoughtless in using those words. She had to be joking right? She had to be poking fun because we were already so STRESSED OUT from relocating our family further from our extended family, from our local jobs, from the kid's school and friends... there was no way anyone in her line of work could be so insensitive, right? WRONG, apologetically wrong! She was just as callous and untactful with her words when we return her call. It turns out she just wanted clarification on some valuables being packed away. Though she did not seem spiteful as if she might enjoy the possibility of our being offended. She may just be socially clumsy, and if that is the case; she does not belong in the customer dealings department for the Atlantic Relocation Systems.
***also, almost all our bookshelves and end tables were somehow damaged (legs broken, shelves cracked) in transit!
