One of the worst places I have ever been to. ALLIED SERVICE CENTERS completely takes advantage of their female customers. I went to Allied because it had great reviews on YELP and they are certified with AAA - the whole bells and whistles. That was the beginning of a disastrous A/C repair. I go in on Tuesday and informed Jeff of my problem. He said my A/C system needed to recharged because the previous person who worked on my vehicle didn't put the correct amount of refrigerant and this in turn is why my a/c is blowing hot air. I pay $192 dollars to get this done. I pick up my car and as soon as I drive off the lot, the A/C begins to malfunction again. Hot air blowing. I turned around and went back, this time another worker and I took my car for a test drive. The air begins blowing cold air to hot. They apologize profusely and plan to take a look at my car the following day because they were already closing. Because they failed to diagnose the problem correctly I did not expect to get a call the next morning telling me that its my A/C pressure switch that is defective and that I was going to be charged $187 to fix the problem. When I asked why the $192 that I originally paid wasn't going to apply to this repair, Jeff answers, that I did not properly describe the problem that I was having with my A/C. I told them that my a/c works fine in the morning and evening, it's the afternoon where I notice the a/c blow hot air. Jeff said that I didn't explain to them that the A/C cuts out... THIS IS SOME B.S. This auto shop are the professionals, not me. They shouldn't be relying on what I say or don't say, they should PROPERLY DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM the first time around. Angry and disgusted, I told them that I would give them a call when I was out of work. NOT ONCE DID I AUTHORIZE THEM TO WORK ON MY CAR A SECOND TIME. My mind was made up, I was not going to do business with these people a second time around. Around 4 p.m. I go to the shop to pick up my car. What do I see? Jeff has an invoice and my old part laying on the counter. I REPEAT I DID NOT AUTHORIZE WORK ON MY CAR. I told Jeff that unless the original $192 I first spent was going to be applied to this repair I wasn't going to pay. Jeff tries to persuade me to pay. Then he tries to charge me solely for the part not the labor. I told him that I want my car back with the old part back in. HE GUARANTEES ME that this time it IS FIXED.He tells me that since its closing time I would have to come back in the next day because they are closed. IS THIS HOW ALLIED SERVICE CENTERS conducts business? BY PERFORMING UNAUTHORIZED WORK ON A VEHICLE AND THEN TRYING TO PERSUADE A CUSTOMER TO PAY AND THEN TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE CLOSED AND THAT I HAVE TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY? At this point I am pissed off but there is nothing I can do, they had my car with them for more than a day and I was scared that they would just continue to mess up my car even more. I get a call the next day from Jeff saying that the manager said that it would cost more to take the part out and put my old part back in, and for that reason I was not going to get charged for it. I pick up my car and drive to work. GUESS WHAT... THE A/C starts blowing hot air again. So the problem still isn't FIXED. I called them and they said they will take a look at my car but I would have to pay an additional $44.95. WHY WOULD I PAY MORE MONEY WHEN YOU CAN'T DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE THE FIRST TIME?? I AM GLAD I DID NOT PAY FOR THE PART OR ANY LABOR FOR WORK THAT WAS NOT AUTHORIZED. THIS BUSINESS and JEFF conduct some shady practices. STAY AWAY. This is not how you assist customers. I paid you as the expert to fix the issue and not take advantage of me. AAA clearly means nothing nowadays. I WILL BE CONTACTING AAA and notifying them of this incident.
