I admit I was surprised - Uncle Bear's is a smallish chain here in the PHX area, and like all chains there's a danger of blandness and too much homogeneity. The beers are fine. The mash tuns and kettles are right behind me, not currently a lot of activity, but the six beers on tap are all tasty! The bar food (dogs and brats) are good as well, with a lot of variety in toppings. The seasoned fries are crispy but not too much so. The music is awful, I don't even recognize the decade, but it's not memorable... According to helpful waitstaff, there are about 5 Muzak channels they're allowed to pick, but this one is pretty weak. The bar is open to the patio, I chose to sit inside since it's impossible to see the TV screens when outside. Good place and worth a visit!
