I just stayed at this hotel - 5 nights. July 17 to the 22nd. Not only did they live up to my expectations, they surpassed them. The hotel is actually very beautiful. Modern lobby with a nice bar - restaurant. Front desk staff was very nice. The room - we had a basic room which was very large, comfy - A/C was terrific. Bathroom fantastic. The housekeeping crew did a fantastic job all around. I ordered coffee to my room (even though it is provided) - I always like my fresh brewed coffee - and it is just how my mornings always begin. Within 5 minutes - my coffee (with fresh cookies / pastries too!) was brought to my room. The goodies were an extra treat with their compliments. I graciously appreciated the gesture - and the speedy delivery! Now, I am from NYC - we believe in showing our gratitude - so I gave the attendant a $10 bill and wished her a great day. She seemed very surprised by the gesture and I reinforced how I appreciated how quickly the coffee was brought up. (I've been in hotels where you are lucky if you get it in 30 minutes). The next day, I ordered coffee again, and it was up in 5 minutes - with pastries - and compliments of the hotel! I asked the person bringing it up if they had forgotten to bring me something to sign, and she informed me the hotel was comping the morning coffee. "After all - we all need our coffee in the morning) I gave her a $5 bill and thanked her. My phone rang and the lady from the previous day called me - and told me it was compliments of the hotel and they hope I enjoy my stay. Well wow! For each morning- I was brought my coffee - and fresh pastries - on the house. I tipped each day - and on the last day - gave a $20 - and let them know if I ever come back - I am staying in this hotel. Folks - I see some negative reviews. To quote one "the operation of this property has declined" - Get real. I beg to differ. And another "if you go to the lobby late at night, don't expect the classiest - the folks can be a bit rowdy". Get real. The hotel is to blame for the patrons that come in for a drink at night? Give me a break. Folks - I testify for this hotel - and I will most definitely stay here again if I am back in Cleveland. There's ZERO wrong with it -on any level - on any standard of any hotel. I hope the hotel reads this - and they will know who I am for sure.
