My boyfriend and I live in New York and decided to take a trip to Montreal for his birthday. We ate at Barrocco our first night in Montreal. Upon arriving we sort of felt like we were back home. This place has a lot of character and looks like it's run by a bunch of cool Brooklyn hipsters. The sommelier was fantastic. He recommended some great oysters and recommended that we try the steak carpaccio which were all amazing. He gave us some cool flaming absinthe shots to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and some delicious desserts. We had such an experience at Barrocco that we can't wait to go back to Montreal just to eat here again.
Definitely my favorite restaurant!
