I was initially impressed when I toured Desert Club. The first month was great, but the complex has really gone down hill in the last year. Almost every resident smokes and there are not smoke designated buildings. So if you're not a smoker or sensitive to smoke, this complex is not livable. A significant amount of families recently moved in as well. This wouldn't typically be a problem, but these parents let their kids splash, scream and run around the pool all weekend without supervision. This made the beautiful pool impossible to enjoy. I initially mentioned Carissa in this review, a leasing agent of the complex. I misnamed Carissa. The long-haired bleach blonde is the leasing agent I had problems with. She is completely rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. The rest of the staff is pretty accommodating. This complex is also infested with ticks! We found tick after tick on my 7 pound dog (who doesn't even play in the grass). Have not found a single tick on my dog since moving out of this place. For the money, there are much better complexes.
