Overall: Cute place to hang out with friends that are cool enough to appreciate bean bag chair seats. Marginally too pricey for me to go regularly but their Xiao Guo noodle is a must get.
Location: At the corner of Spadina and College. Quite walkable from Chinatown.
Price: Main dishes are about $8-10 for small. Drinks and side dishes are around $5-7.
Food: My personal favourite is the Xiao Guo rice noodles. I was hooked on Gui Lin noodles from my trip to GuangXi, and have forever been looking for a place that makes it close to the same authenticity. After years of searching, I think this is it. Normally I prefer milder soup noodle flavours, but this dish is the perfect blend of strong flavours. The soup consists of tomatoes, ground pork, bak choi, and a whole other ton of seasoning (the original has pickled vegetables and I think this one does too). This is the only thing I get from this place, and I always recommended it to people. Last time a friend got something else despite my recommendation and faced the wrath of buyers regret.
Seating: The tables for large groups have bean bag chairs!! They're in no way practical, but it's great for filtering in cool friends who can appreciate change. My suggestion is to not wear a dress because you gotta get into some compromising positions when you wanna get up from the seat.
