"Ah jus", "with crunch". Two phrases the English use about 95% more than the Americans do. Or the French, or the Irish or the wherever those people are from that came up with those terms. I did a google search for "sandwich au jus with crunch" and the page you're on right now was the fifth suggestion. That means that the Bogtrotter's Doorstep is indeed special. "The Cleveland" soaked with crunch is what they gave me. It had chicken, it had onions, it had cheese and it was soaked in au jus. And in case you're still scratching your head, "au jus is a French culinary term meaning "with juice". It refers to meat dishes prepared or served together with a light gravy made from the juices given off by the meat as it is cooked." (With credits to Wikipedia.) And it had crunch- potato chips on top. Tasty. My least favorite part was the fact that you have to eat your meal in the adjoining tavern. Which really was not much of a problem. And one last thing, I would eat here just to tell people that I'd eaten at the Bogtrotter's Doorstep. Best name you would have never come up with on your own.
