This review is for laser hair removal. Back in February I saw a sign for $99 for 6 underarm laser hair removal sessions at the Vaughan Mills location, so I went to inquire and bought a package. I can't remember the model number of the machine at this location but it looks older than ones I have seen and had used on me before. I don't think it was a Soprano, which I have better results with than the machine being used at this location. The treatment is done in a little room in the back of the shop where body waxing is done. It's not very clean and on occasion the paper (the translucent thin stuff like a doctors office exam table) from the previous treatment hasn't been removed or replaced by being torn off. The room could use a fresh coat of paint and possibly some hooks to hang your belongings in. I would make my appointments, but for 1 session did it as a walk in on a weekday and they thankfully took me as I was in the area and it wasn't busy. I did one session on a Sunday afternoon, my suggestion is to make an appointment on a weekday as it is less hectic and busy as they do hair and nails at this location as well and the parking lot at Vaughan Mills is a zoo. On two occasions, though I had an appointment walkins for threading were taken ahead of me as Lisa, the technician for laser hair removal also does threading. I wasn't in a rush those days so I didn't make a fuss, but why bother taking appointments if they aren't going to be given priority? (I had done a eyebrow threading session but did not like it, so didn't go back to Lisa another threading session). There were 2 incidents that made me not want to purchase any packages in the future. On my Fifth appointment, I was told it was my last one. I stated it was my 5th and was told no, it was my last. I asked to see my file and saw my 5th appointment slot was signed by a signature that was not mine to state a session had taken place. When I relayed it was not my signature and wondered if they mixed up my file for someone else's session, the technician said it was hers. I am not sure why she signed in the place of my 5th session and told me that appointment was my last when the client is supposed to sign at each session and I wasn't given an explanation which annoyed me. I signed and noted it was my 5th session. I had last appointment yesterday. During my last session she asked if I wanted to buy more packages, I said I would have to think about it as I didn't live in the area and would be travelling in the next few months. When my session concluded she looked at file and at my receipt which was stapled to my papers and was on the top of all papers (and had been since February) Lisa told me they charged me incorrectly and it was supposed to be $99 per underarm and led me to the cash register. She told the cashier that they incorrectly charged me and that I should be charged another $99 for the other arm. I stated the sign was in the window in February, the cashier who made the original transaction did not tell me it was $99 x 2 and that Lisa the technician who conducted my sessions never had a problem with the price for all other 5 sessions and never mentioned it all other times I signed for a session. I stated I was told services had to be purchased and paid for in full before any sessions occurred and it was never mentioned to me in any other sessions that I was to pay more than what I was originally charged so I would not be paying another $99. Was I being hassled to pay more because I didn't commit to any more packages? I don't know. Was there an attempt to cheat me out of a session? I don't know. All I do know is that those were the reasons I did not want to buy any more packages as it seemed weird and did not want to have to deal with the same problems in the future.
