I had never heard of Seven Magic Mountains prior to July of this year until my daughter mentioned it. I had no idea what to expect or what to see. I did a Google search and read up a little more on these seven colorful rocks off the 15 passing Whiskey Petes. Apparently lots of money was spent in creating this work of art. I guess if you have that money, you're free to do as you please with it right? I personally think if you're gonna spend that much money on colored rocks, leave it up forever, why knock it down after years? Anyhow, they are pretty..you can see them from the highway but to access them you have to exit the freeway passing Whiskey Petes, about a mile down you exit and it will direct you where to go. I didn't get close enough to touch them or get a close up, I heard there are rattlesnakes nearby(it's their territory), I am not afraid of snakes but I wasn't wearing boots or proper shoes to walk in the desert. So I guess I can say this is a niece creation, they won't be up for that long so if you wanna see them, I guess you have like a year or so to see them, after that they will be long gone. I'm glad I did, and snapped a photo too.
