The campus building and rooms are beautiful and the staff helpful. Yet the hospital's phone system does not work. The hospital has one telephone number for incoming calls (702) 492-8218. I dialed that number and was given the options of dialing an extension [which I did not have] or remaining on the line for an operator. I then reached a recording stating that an operator would be on the line shortly. I waited 48 minutes listening to music but my call was never answered by a human. There were no other phone numbers available locally for the hospital. I found a phone number for the corporate office, spoke with a person who dialed the hospital for me - I was connected to (702) 492-8218 - the same number I originally dialed. Then I did an internet search and discovered another person who gave me the phone number for the nursing station. I dialed that number and spoke with a person who told me that the line for the patient I was trying to contact was on the telephone i her room. She offered to take my phone number and to request that the patient call me. An hour has passed and I have not received a call. I would suggest that the hospital ensure that their phone system is operative and perhaps that the line be answered by an operator. This is no way to run a hospital. Very disappointed.
