The cleaning was excellent and the dentist was good. The office staff was rude and defensive (Charlie Hildebrand). I have moved out of state and wanted my records to get my fillings closer to home, since no appts were available over the rest of my vacation in Arizona. Evidently they will only email my records once I have my new dentists email address. I asked if they were witholding my records, and she said "you are lying". I said I was asking if you were withholding them, I have a right to my own information. She then said she could print them but they wouldn't be diagnostic but under her breath said "you wouldn't know what that means." I asked how she would know whether I would know what that means. I happen to work in the hospital industry implementing systems and partnering with those who digitize hospital records. After she spoke under her breath she went into the Employee Only area saying rude and untrue things about me. I spoke up that I could hear her and she shouldn't say untrue things about me, so she slammed the door. When she came back out, she asked why I was still on premise, to which I replied "you said you would give me printed copies of my records". She asked me to leave the premise. Since I had not raised my voice or resorted to name calling, I can only presume it's because she realized she had gotten herself into a very unprofessional situation. 7/20 Update: My records were originally refused to me on HIPAA grounds. However, after engaging the BBB, Dental Elegance did email me my xrays 6 days later. There was no interaction with the dentist when I didn't have tools in my mouth and that interfaction was less than 5 minutes. She was not rude and neither was I.
