After driving over an hour from work and still 15 minutes late as the last appointment of the day at 5pm, a nice woman in the corner station took pity on me and said "come sit down". She did an awesome job of asking exactly what I wanted, actually listening, and really making me feel comfortable that she was going to deliver exactly what I wanted. The shop was well swept, spacious, no strong chemical smells, and played relaxing music to help unwind after a long day (and tough traffic). Things were great until I, along with two other clients, ran after closing time. Two women who appeared to be the manager and possible owner became pushy with the stylists, asking them abruptly "how much longer", looking at their watches, and making comments about the time. As the women glared at us I began to feel as though I might get kicked out in the middle of my blow dry! Once finished and looking for my debit card to pay, one of the ladies called my stylist to the front of the shop. I could clearly hear the women begin to reprimand the stylist for being there after hours. Complaining about the long drive they had to get home as the stylist would be sleep while they're still driving, past medical issues suffered, how long they had been there for the day, and the time I walked in. In attempts to make the stylists feel guilty conversations like this is extremely inappropriate, unprofessional, and flat out rude! If I as a client felt disrespected like I was a burden and un-wanted, I can imagine how the stylists felt! As for my hair? It's soft, manageable, shiny, silky, color vibrant, and gorgeous! And I have Miss Mia to thank for it! I will return to Mirabella Hair Design as Mia did a wonderful job but, maybe on a Saturday morning!
