I was only passing through Madison on a cross-country roadtrip and had an issue with my chain that I couldn't diagnose. Every shop in town was booked out a couple weeks. They made time to diagnose my issue on the spot, even though they were swamped.
I had to get to a wedding on the East Coast, so I didn't have time to wait for a new chain/sprocket, but they offered to make a slot for me the next day before closing to perform just enough maintenance to get me back on the road.
In 10 minutes they blasted my chain clean, gave me some tips on what to look for in the future, and not only wouldn't charge me, but would accept payment for their time. I really appreciated that they went out of their way to help me despite juggling a two week backlog.
