What a lovely little place to stumble into.
Absolutely everything is drenched with gaudy Russian decor, but it's absolutely fabulous because it somehow manages to be rather classy all at once.
The seating is brilliant! Couches! It's like hanging out with your friends at home drinking (except the carpets have been recently vacuumed and you are [or should be] fully clothed). Slightly suggestive as couches are more or less the go-to make out spot when you are on a date... I won't lie, some PDA happened, the couches seduced me. But everyone seemed to be in their own little worlds with their Russian vodka and no dirty looks or awkward 'EHEM's were had.
THE FOOD. WAS. AMAZING. I was not hungry upon arrival but I am so SO SO pleased that I was coerced into ordered because, by God, the food was rather flawless.
I munched on the 'Mushroom sliders'. Grilled portobello mushrooms with a goat cheese that seemed to have a honey kick to it. Little mini-hamburger-style. I was amused.
The mushroom and potato perogis were also heavenly. As was the dessert fruit plate. This dessert plate kicked ass. No crappy melon or grapes, but MANGO and blackberries and beautiful oranges and strawberries. UGH. SO. GOOD.
FYI. They also have this little dungeon room on the lower level that you can use for the night for optimal privacy if you so desire. This also came with a free shot. Be prepared to handle your vodka. And the thorough history lesson that comes with it.
Very enjoyable experience. Recommend.
