FOOD POISONING ALERT!! Do NOT eat at Blue Burrito in Terminal 3 of PHX. On March 15, 2013, I was really contemplating between Blue Burrito and the Wendy's at T3. Not many choices behind security, and had had enough fast food that week. Decided on Blue Burrito with hesitation as I have had poor quality food there once in the past. Bad move! I ended up ordering the Blue Corn Chicken Tacos. As one reviewer noted, the corn taco shells were awful - tough, stale and tasteless. The worst offense though was the chicken. As I ate the generically spiced chicken, I noticed that it seemed a bit watery and slightly off in color. I should have stopped there. Instead, I finished my meal and got on board my flight to Atlanta. Within minutes of getting on board, I begin to feel nauseous with a pounding headache and upset stomach. Somehow I held back getting sick during the flights, and held out until I arrived home. I'll spare you the details, but it was not pretty and, in fact, one week later, I am still feeling the after effects. This restaurant should be cited for undercooked food and food poisoning. Further, even without the health incident, you will notice that the menu items all have the SAME exact ingredients. This is mass-produced, poor-quality food clearly made by people who don't care and have no plans on ever seeing those who they serve again. A likely scenario for an airport, but really unacceptable. In closing, when faced with a food choice at Terminal 3 at PHX - avoid Blue Burrito at all costs. While Wendy's may not be the best alternative, at least you know what you will get and know that it will be cooked properly. Safe travels!
