Extensive Abdominal Surgery, post-op I was in severe pain, due to nurse neglecting to administer my scheduled pain meds on time. Nurse would always have an excuse as to why, he was late administering pain Med's.
The times were written clearly on the room info board, these pain Med's were scheduled, not "as needed". There was usually 45 min to 60 min progressive delay. I could not even sleep, because I would have to set my phone alarm to wake me up, so the staff could be reminded to give me the scheduled pain Med's, then wait an hour for them to be administered.
