It is Charlotte Restaurant Week and my sister chose this place based on the menu. We got a 5:30 reservation for our party of four and were seated quickly. Nice atmosphere. There are tables outside that promise fun dining when the weather is better. Course one: beet salad. Very good. Course two: mussels. Fantastic! A bit of zing to the sauce. Course three: Swedish meatballs. Beautifully presented, but nothing special in terms of flavor. Course four: bread pudding. Very good but more like French toast than any bread pudding I have ever had. Now we come to the more negative part of the review. We finished at 9 pm. Yes, 5:30 to 9 pm. The intervals between courses were very long. The course were delivered by people other than our server, whom we rarely saw. The place was full. However, there appeared to be plenty of staff so I suspect it was the kitchen that was having trouble keeping up. The food was good enough that I'd be willing to try it again, but the slow service was a definite negative and came close to spoiling the evening.
