I scheduled a 3-hour house cleaning with Errund because we had a busy week and friends were going to be visiting. Booking on their website was convenient and simple, and I appreciated the text message with the cleaner's contact information the day before the scheduled cleaning. Unfortunately, that's about all the positives I can find from this experience. The cleaner arrived 15 minutes late. I told her it was our first time booking a cleaning service, and she told me not to worry because she was "meticulous." After the cleaning, I quickly realized that she had checked off tasks on Errund's cleaning checklist that she didn't complete, such as cleaning the microwave (there was food stuck to the inside and grimy fingerprints all over the keypad), dusting any of our cabinets or vents, or cleaning the kitchen sink. The stainless steel in the kitchen was streaky and full of water drip marks. There was pet hair left on the bedroom carpet that she vacuumed. She dusted some lamps and left others dusty and untouched. The top of the fridge was dusty even though I had seen her cleaning up there. I was shocked to discover that she had left a layer of comet cleaning powder on the bottom of my tub and specks of soap scum on the shower walls. She didn't attempt to clean the chrome in the shower. She did a really good job of dusting our bookshelves and TV stand, but she was not thorough in any of her other cleaning tasks. I spoke to Jake, the customer service manager, about my concerns, and told him that I would not have time to have him send another cleaner to make things right. He reviewed photos I sent him of the areas that were not cleaned well, and after some back-and-forth, he ended up offering me a partial refund and a credit towards my next booking with Errund. I doubt that I will be scheduling with them again. I ended up having to spend over three hours on my own re-cleaning areas of the apartment. We were so disappointed that a cleaning service we booked to take a load off our shoulders ended up creating more work for ourselves in addition to costing us money. Your mileage may vary with Errund, but our particular cleaner was far from thorough, and left us having to clean up her mess.
