Dr. Hylton has taken over many of Dr. Lewis' patients since his retirement. She seems competent and professional but I miss Dr. Lewis' laid back, calm approach to patients. The real reason for the drop in star ratings is the office management. I usually have my annual routine eye work up in June. I get a reminder card to make an appointment in early May. This year when I made the appointment, the first available appointment was in August, instead of June. Even worse, in late June I got a call from the office stating that the doctor will not be in the office the day of my scheduled appointment in August, so they had to reschedule me for their next available appointment--NOVEMBER 23! Wow! Normally, doctors close their practice to new patients when they are at capacity to prevent this type of situation. Something is wrong here when appointments for routine care are not available for 7 months!
