In town for a wedding, we made a reservation for updo's months in advance so the 4 of us could all get our hair done at the same time. Upon arrival, I was introduced to my girl who stated she doesn't "do" updo's - she "can do a messy bun." I can do a messy bun, I don't need to pay $100 for that. After a few minutes of arguing, she went and found another girl to do my hair. My friend, the bride, had this same conversation with her girl. The other 2 in our group didn't have a problem but their hair was done within 28 minutes... 28 MINUTES! Mine took just over and hour and I was happy with how it turned out - my gal was very nice. The bride was there almost 2 hours which was expected, she has lots of hair. Within hours of leaving both mine and the bride's were falling out. We spent the entire evening pausing between photos to put bobby pins back in and by the end of the night, I gave up and took mine out all together. Overall, I was super disappointed in the entire experience. The "Turn & Burn" attitude of everyone was incredibly frustrating and for $100 the updo should last longer than an hour.
