Stopped by ZenQ due to the fact that it was raining quite hard and my boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to eat that had underground parking. ZenQ was quite empty, with only a couple of tables being taken. We ordered a Mango Creamy Frappe dessert (shaved ice) along with a Taro milkshake. I've tried the mango shaved ice from Cha Me Cha next door before, and I've got to say I prefer the one at ZenQ much much more. The one at Cha Me Cha tastes way too artificial, and floral, like perfume. YUCK. But the one I had at ZenQ tasted actually like Mango. It came with fruit loops and mango jelly on the side. I was unsure about the fruit loops at first but it provided a nice contrast to the shaved ice, kinda like eating bits of a cone with ice cream. The Taro milkshake is legit. And by legit I mean you can actually taste real taro and didn't have the artificial powder taste you'd get at other bbt places. Because it was late, we tried to stay away from anything that had caffeine in it. I'd definitely come back to try the milk tea frappe next time.
